Ernest Jacobsen Obituary

Ernest “Ernie” R. Jacobsen, age 81 of Monticello, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 31st, 2019.

Ernie was born September 28th, 1937 in Monticello to Ernest E. and Elsie J. (Huizenga) Jacobsen of Big Lake. He married Nancy Nelson on September 19th, 1959 and later divorced.

He is survived by his children, Vicky (Dave) Moffatt of Big Lake, Jeff (Linda) Jacobsen of Big Lake, Jodie (Troy) McGannon of Big Lake, Scott Jacobsen of Big Lake, Aimee (Dave) Rimmer of Monticello, Tina Rice of Big Lake, Tony (Jessica) Jacobsen of Princeton, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Clyde “Jake” (Wanda) Jacobsen of St Joseph and his sister, Sr. Bernita Lindstrom of Little Falls Covent.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Elsie Jacobsen, his brothers, Bud, Gene, and Bruce Jacobsen, and granddaughter, Savannah Berndt.

Ernie’s celebration of life will be on Sunday August 25th at 1:00pm at the Carousell Works in Big Lake, MN.
