Ian Rogers Obituary

Ian Lee Rogers, 17, of Monticello MN passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2019.  Ian is preceded in death by his brother, John Lee Sheppard. He is survived by his parents Aaron and Christina “Kiki” Rogers, his sisters Samantha Sheppard and Aimee Rogers, his grandmothers Sandra Rogers and Dorothy Lohse, his great-grandmother Luella Lohse, and extended family to include his uncles, aunts, and cousins.  Ian is also remembered by many friends from his schools Monticello High School and Wright Tech, and friends from Buffalo Evangelical Free Church, Boy Scouts, and Star Lake Wilderness Camp as well as others he’s met along the way. Ian’s friends meant so much to him; he was always willing to lend a helping hand, or at least make you laugh if he could.

Please join the family and friends as we gather to celebrate this short but impactful life. A visitation will be held at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Home; 250 E. Broadway in Monticello on Tuesday, August 27 from 4-7PM.  A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, August 28 at 11AM with visitation beginning at 10AM, at Buffalo Evangelical Free Church; 2051 50th Street NE in Buffalo; following, Ian will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Crystal, MN.

To honor Ian’s memory, we ask you chose to give to one of his favorite organizations, the Animal Humane Society.
