Joyce Elaine Fyle (nee Wilken)

Age 88, of Monticello, passed away on March 25, 2019 at CentraCare Home in Monticello.  Joyce was born August 29, 1930 in South Haven to George & Gertrude Wilken.  She grew up in Monticello and lived there her whole life.  Joyce was united in marriage to Gene Fyle on September 13, 1951.  Joyce worked at Wright County State Bank, Standard Oil, St Henry’s Church, and Fyle Excavating and Honeywagon as the Secretary.  She enjoyed the Twins, Vikings, fishing, camping, playing board games and cards and trips up North.  Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will be dearly missed.  She is survived by her children, Brad (Cindy), Lori (Tom) Gelting, Jeff (Saranya), and Jill (Randy) Turner; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Donna (Larry) Anderson and Darlene (Melroy) Martin; sisters-in-law, Barbara Rooney, Sr Sharon Fyle, Delrose Rank, Lois Fyle and Bernadette Fyle.  Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Fyle; great-granddaughter, Emerson Moengen; sister, Sondra Walters; parents, George & Gertrude Wilken.  Visitation on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 5-8PM at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, 250 E Broadway St, Monticello and one hour prior to Mass at the church.  Mass of Christian burial at 10:30AM on Friday, March 29 at Church of St Henry, 1007 E 7th St, Monticello.  Private interment.  Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel  763-295-2918 www.peterson-grimsmochapel.com
