Richard LeClaire

Richard J. LeClaire, age 69 of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Nina; children; grandchildren; and great grandchildren, one brother and four brothers.

Richard served 22 years in the Army as an Airborne Ranger Medic at Vietnam. He was enlisted and deployed for the Army Reserves to Desert Storm.

He loved fishing, canning, gardening, bowling, and loved his animals, especially dogs. Giving was a big part of Richard’s life, whether to your local non-profit, a homeless veteran, or to kids halfway around the world. More than anything else, Richard was always going somewhere to visit.

A Special Thanks to the kind and compassionate nurses and doctors at Coborn’s Cancer Center and VA Hospice in St. Cloud, MN.

Funeral Service will be at 12:00pm on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 E. Broadway, Monticello. Visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at 12:00pm  on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Little Falls.
