Barbara (Fischer) Hellman

Barbara Fischer was born on August 19, 1943, in Elgin, North Dakota to parents John & Elma (Heim) Fischer. She married Victor Hellman on July 30, 1960, in New Leipzig, North Dakota. She died on December 19, 2021, at her home in Monticello.

She is survived by her husband Victor; daughters Victoria (Mike) LaBau, and Shelly Hellman; son Corey (Kim) Hellman; daughter in-law Tina Hellman; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and brothers Roy (Janet) Fischer, and Les (Annie) Fischer. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents John & Elma Fischer; 5 siblings; and son Keith Hellman.

Barbara spent her childhood on a farm in New Leipzig, North Dakota. She married Victor and moved several times and landed in Monticello, Minnesota. She was a bookkeeper for her husband’s construction business, a full-time mom of 4 children, an avid reader, she loved to travel in their RV, offered Holistic practices, and was a counselor, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed. Funeral Services for Barbara will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 3PM, with visitation from 1PM to 3PM at PETERSON-GRIMSMO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 250 E.
