Bonita Kaye Stich, 81
Big Lake, MN
February 9th 1944- June 20th 2025
Bonnie K. Stich was born on February 9th, 1944 in Fosston, MN to Kenneth and Beatrice(Geldaker) Balstad. After graduating from McIntosh High School in 1962, Bonnie attended Lutheran Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and became a registered nurse in 1965. She worked as an O.R. Nurse for ten years in Minneapolis and Denver, CO. On October 17th, 1970 Bonnie married Thomas Stich. They made their home in Denver, Colorado for two years, then Brooklyn Park, Minnesota before retiring to Big Lake in 2002. Bonnie took great pride in her family, friends, and home. You would always be met with a smile, beautifully presented home cooked meal, and a cozy place to stay. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, caring mother, grandma, sister and friend. Bonnie is survived by her son Brett(Paulina) Stich; daughter Kristin(Dillon) Cords; grandchildren Kemry, Ava, Tatum, Paisley, Hawken, and Tyler; brother Tennis(Lori) Balstad; and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas; and granddaughter Rylie. Blessed be her memory.
A memorial service for Bonnie will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 11AM with visitation 1 hour prior at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 Broadway Street East, Monticello. Luncheon will be served following the service at the funeral home. Private interment will take place later at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
