Age 80 of Dayton. Born on 9/5/1944 in Robbinsdale, MN and passed away there on 6/8/2025. Preceded in death by parents Florence (Thotland) and Frank Gaulke; sister Francies Lane; nephews Jimmy Dolence, and Brent Bostrom; and mother-in-law Evelyn Walker Sweet. Survived by wife of 59 years, Marlee (Walker) Gaulke; children Charles Jr. (Julie) Gaulke, Tammy (Rick) Theisen, and Tracy (Tim) Braun; grandchildren Charles III and Jake Gaulke; Lauren, and Ryan Theisen and Luke, and Josie Braun; siblings Florence Harriet (Nels) Larson, Sandra (Jon) Dolence, Mark (Brenda) Gaulke; brother-in-law Keith Lane; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Chuck loved his family, especially his grandchildren, his job at FVG America, and his community of Dayton, where he served as a volunteer firefighter for 38 years. He also served our country in the U.S. Army. He loved helping people, Fire Prevention Day, bingo, meat raffles, the Minnesota State Fair, going out to eat, and was a founding member of the Gaulke Friday Night Club. He was a member of the Land of Lakes GTO Club and Upper Midwest Allis Chalmers Club. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Mon 6/16 with visitation 1½ hour prior at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 9300 Jason Ave. NE, Monticello. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
