Christopher "Chris" Boedeker Obituary

Christopher “Chris” Boedeker

Beloved Son, Husband, Brother, & Dad

Age 38 of Monticello

Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 16, 2023 where he helped raise his two children. Chris was a 2003 graduate of Monticello High School where he enjoyed basketball, BMX biking, and spending time with friends. Chris went on to attend and graduate from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. After graduation, Chris met and married his wife, Rachael Boedeker (Gardner), of Monticello in 2011. Together, Chris and Rachael had two children, Henry and Nora. Chris was passionate about spending time with his son playing hockey and fishing. He enjoyed watching Peppa Pig on Sunday mornings with his daughter, golfing in the summer with Rachael, and going to the Parade of Homes-Twin Cities every year. Chris’ love for his family took many forms, in the form of hobbies and in the goals he set for himself. In August of 2021, Chris started attending the University of Minnesota with the goal of obtaining his Master’s Degree. Twelve months later, Chris did just that and graduated from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business with a Master’s of Science in Supply Chain Management. The love Chris had for his family was as unique and authentic as the person he was. His entire family is so proud of him and adores him. He will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Alfred and Marcile Hoffman, and Gerald and Grace Lucile Boedeker; and uncles Victor Hoffman, and Paul Boedeker. Surviving are his parents Francis and Rita Boedeker; his wife Rachael (Gardner) Boedeker; children Henry, and Nora Boedeker; siblings Tonya (Andy) Kubes, and Ryan (Katie) Boedeker; nephew Lucas Kubes; niece Hadley Kubes; mother and father-in-law Jeff and Sally Gardner; brothers-in-law Sebastian (Taylor) Gardner, and Seth Gardner; sister-in-law Gabby (Tommy) Middagh; and many other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4Pm-8PM at the Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 E. Broadway Street, Monticello, 763-295-2918.
