Age 73
Longtime Monticello Resident
Passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents Philip E. and Elsie (Carlson) Wipper; siblings Les, Jack, Lanny, and Laurie Wipper; husband Gary Schultz; mother and father-in-law Norwin “Rockie” and Phyllis Schultz; and nephews Noah Lindenfelser, Jacob Wipper, Jayme Wipper, and Patrick Schultz. Connie was born on December 12, 1952 in Saint Cloud, MN but was raised in Monticello. She graduated from Monticello High School and moved back to Saint Cloud where she began employment at Stearns Inc. It was there that she met Gary Owen Schultz, the man she would later marry, on July 20, 1979. After working for Stearns, she moved over to Fingerhut in Saint Cloud and dedicated twenty years there. In 2006, shortly after the death of her mother, she moved back to Monticello where she resided until she moved to Sauk Rapids when her health declined.
Connie is survived by her children Jason Schultz, Joey (Cassie) Schultz, Jeremy Schultz, and Darla (Jeff) Michelau; grandchildren Mykala, Carter, Quinn, Kiley, Caden, Elsie, Liam, and Landon Schultz; siblings Phyllis (Tom) Lenz, Lola (Dan) Reed, Debbie (Curt) Lindenfelser, Penny (Jay) Olson, and Rick (Ann) Wipper; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Connie delighted in keeping her sisters, cousins, nieces and everyone else updated on “the latest”. She often went right down the line on her phone, calling one person after another just to make sure everyone knew the latest news.
Even better was the time she spent with the “Shady Ladies” and the shenanigans they managed to get themselves into.
Connie’s visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., with her Celebration of Life service to follow at 11 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church, 9225 Jason Avenue NE, Monticello, MN. A luncheon will be served following the service at church. A private interment will take place later at Riverside Cemetery in Monticello, MN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel of Monticello. 763-295-2918. www.peterson-grimsmochapel.com
