Daniel L. Stevens

Daniel LeRoy Stevens passed away unexpectedly at home on May 26, 2025 when his big heart just gave out.

Danny was born November 5, 1953 and grew up in the Silver Creek / Monticello MN area.  He proudly served in the Navy Seabees from 1971 to 1974 and married Christine in 1997.  Danny was a truck driver for many years, owning his own trucks and leasing them to several trucking companies.
 

Danny enjoyed raising longhorn cattle on his Silver Creek farm, working on his 1957 pickup and fixing small engines in his garage.  He loved telling jokes and stories, making everyone laugh, while drinking coffee on his front porch with neighbors, friends, family and whoever wanted to join him. 

Danny leaves behind his wife of 28 years Christine (Ahrens), stepchildren Amanda (Levi) Olson and Adam Nagorski, and grandchildren Jonathan, Ethan and Lily, as well as family living in Minnesota and Arizona.  He is preceded in death by parents Clarence (Red) and Leona Stevens, sister Barb and brother Aaron.

Join us for Drinks on Danny to share stories, remember and celebrate Danny’s life on August 23rd from 1 – 3 pm at the Monticello American Legion, 304 Elm Street.  In lieu of memorials, please donate to a veteran's charity of your choice.
