Darlene passed away on April 18, 2022 at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her parents John & Bernadine (Barthel) Schmitz; husband Donald; and brothers Gerald, and Alvin. She is survived by her sons Dan (Marie) and their children Clint (Victoria) and their son Hudson; Lucas (Julia), and Lily (Brett); Dale (Marissa) and children Hunter (Kailee), and Sam (Alea); and Dave (Dawn) and their children Amy, Julie, and Alex (Sadie); sister Patricia (Ralph), brothers Johnny (Sandy), and Kenny (Barb); and brother-in-law Dennis (Barb); and many loving relatives and friends. Darlene was a devout Catholic at St. George’s Catholic Church in Long Lake for many years. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 1PM until 1:45PM with prayer service at 1:45PM at the Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 E. Broadway St., Monticello. 763-295-2918.
