David Emanual Lindberg, 65, of Monticello passed away Wednesday, September 29th, 2021. David was born to Charles and Betty Lindberg, of Big Lake, on June 1st, 1956. David graduated from Big Lake High School in 1975. He was married to Cathleen on September 2nd, 1977 and had three children.
David worked as a painter for Lindberg and Son’s and Swanson and Youngdale. He was known as a hard worker and fantastic foreman.
He also wrote for the Sherburne Tribune and the Citizen newspapers. He was a co-founder of Kinship of Monticello. David was heavily involved on boards at several Assembly of God Churches. David was an avid fisherman and his other hobbies included riding his motorcycle, playing with his grandkids and he was a good prankster.
David is survived by his wife, Cathleen; his father, Charles (Big Lake); three children, David (Christine) Lindberg of Clearwater, Heidi (Kyle) Stapleton of Riverfalls, and Ann (Nick) Steen of Monticello along with eight grandchildren; his brother, Steve (Terri) Lindberg of Austin Texas; his sister, Ruth (Terry) Carlson of Big Lake and sister, Naomi Lindberg of Big Lake.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty and his brother, Timmy.
David will always be remembered as a loyal and devoted husband and father who led by example, showing us what a good Christian family man is.
