Diane Marie Bollig
Age 73, of Big Lake
Passed away on January 10, 2026, after a 3 year battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her parents Richard and Patricia (Stavrum) Salzer; husband of 52 years, David; daughters Erica (Ute), Kari (Larry), and Katie (Eli); beloved grandchildren Sam, Croix, Adelle, and Emilia; and siblings William (Linda) Salzer, Ray (Cheri) Salzer, Irene (Rick) Skroch, Tom Salzer (Deb), Dave (Joyce) Salzer, Ted (Patty) Salzer, Julie Salzer, and Kathy (Randy) Albers; and many other relatives and friends.
Diane found great joy in being a homemaker and mother, nurturing her family with constant love and care. Her maternal support spread to all of her kids’ friends and neighbors. This carried into her role as grandma, as she spent many hours caring for her grandchildren. Throughout the years she volunteered her time at the local food shelf, schools, hospital, church, and Friends of the Library. She made it a personal mission to send birthday cards to family and friends and reach out with comfort and heartfelt wishes during times of hardship.
Diane touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.
