Donald Ray Ellis

Age 52, of Big Lake, MN. Passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024 at St Cloud CentraCare Hospital.  

He is preceded in death by his mother, Teresa; son, Aeron; grandparents. 

Don was born on July 16, 1971 at Aitkin Community Hospital.  He grew up in the Palisade, MN area and in 1989, after graduating high school, Don joined the U.S. Army, spending 4 years in Korea. Upon returning, he attended the U of MN-Duluth.  Always good with computers and technology, Don chose to make that his career. 

He especially enjoyed spending time at his dad’s farm with his son, Alex, where they all enjoyed cooking, riding 4-wheelers, and just being together. 

Don is survived by his wife, Cheryl; son, Alex; grandson, Liam; father, Tom (Sue); brother, Jason; sister, Amanda (David); lifelong friend, Chris House; nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. 

Special thanks to the ICU Doctors and Staff at St Cloud CentraCare Hospital for the exceptional care provided to Don and family. 

Per Don’s wishes, there will be no services or celebration of life.
