Donald Kenneth Evenson Jr.

Donald K. Evenson Jr., known by most as Donny, passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 68. He was born to Donald K. Evenson Sr. and Arlene M. Harrington on September 16, 1957. Donny graduated from high school in Nevis, Minnesota, and proudly served his country for four years in the United States Navy.

In 1986, he married the love of his life, Beth Evenson. Donny spent his working years in the concrete industry, serving as a lead foreman with Hanson Spancrete, and later with Molins, where he retired in 2022.

In retirement, Donny enjoyed his lifelong love of music, listening to all his Classic Rock favorites. He made it a point to attend concerts whenever possible and especially treasured his trip on the Rock Legends Cruise in 2023. He was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed following and watching all sports. In addition, Donny looked forward each year to his annual fishing trip to Osakis with family and good friends.

Donny was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Evenson; his father, Donald Evenson; his mother, Arlene Larson; and his siblings, Mike Evenson and Diana Weller.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather (Jake) Horstmann; his grandchildren, Harper and Blaze Horstmann; his brother, Eldon (Karen) Miller; his stepfather, Ronald Larson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held June 6, 2026, at 11:00AM with visitation 1 hour prior at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel in Monticello MN.  A celebration of life to follow at 1:00PM at the VFW, Monticello, MN.
