Donna M. Stearns

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM with a prayer service at 2:00 PM at the Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Home in Monticello for Donna M. Stearns who passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025, surrounded by family. Private burial to take place on a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Brainerd, MN.

Donna was born on July 13, 1944, to William and Matilda (Austin) Abrahamson in Brainerd, MN. She married the love of her life Charley Stearns on April 2, 1966, in South Dakota. She raised 7 children and was a homemaker. She moved to Monticello in 1979. She enjoyed playing cards, Yahtzee, and bingo, crafting, and shopping at Hobby Lobby. She will be remembered for her kind-hearted, compassionate, strong-willed, and generous nature. Above all she cherished the time spent with family. She was a bright light in so many lives and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her children; Brian (Joni), Leona (Rick), Debbie (Tony), Theresa, and LeeAnn (Troy) siblings; Curt, Dot, and Bill; 15 grandchildren; Many great-grandchildren and great great- grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Charley; children David and Bonnie; Sisters, Grace, Geri, and Marilyn.
