Duane W. Carlson

Duane W. Carlson went home to be with his Heavenly Father on 10/29/19 at the age of 80.  He was born 11/11/38 to John & Lucille in Canby, MN. He was a long time resident of Monticello, MN. Duane was an Independent Insurance Agent & used his business D.W. Carlson Agency as a ministry. He was also involved with the Gideons & Jail Ministry. Duane was also an avid hunter & fisherman. He loved the outdoors & farming on his hobby farm. Duane is preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine "Tina" & son Duane Jr.; parents, John & Lucille; sisters, Jeanette Sorbel & Linda Groven. He is survived by his 3 daughters, Diane Robar (Chuck), Denise Bosak (Brian), & Doreen Ogard; his brother, William; sister, Carole Wyman & brother John (Marilyn); 6 grandchildren & 15 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Home 250 E. Broadway in Monticello, MN. on November 1st, 2019 with visitation at 10:00 AM & service at 11:00 AM A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held after the service.
