Elizabeth Marvel (Johnson) Nolden

Elizabeth Marvel Nolden age 88 of Big Lake MN passed away on 4/28/26 surrounded by loved ones. Elizabeth was born on September 16, 1937 to Eddie and Mabel Johnson of Santiago, MN. Elizabeth was raised on the family farm in Santiago. She graduated from Becker High School in 1955. On July 16, 1955 Elizabeth married Arnold Nolden. Together they built a home and raised their family of five children in Big Lake. Elizabeth was especially known for her poise and style, her strong will and patience, her sweetness and always thinking the best of everyone. Her family, children, grand children and providing a loving home were of utmost importance to her. Elizabeth is survived by her siblings Thelma Haberman, Richard (Jackie) Johnson, Elaine Dearborn, Lyle (Peggy) Johnson, Lorraine (Duane) Langsdorf, and her children Daniel (Joanne), Curtis (Kathy), Lori (Bill), Marsha (Chuck), and Craig (Jen), and her grandchildren Matthew (Mandy), Saundra, Karla (Brett), Nicole (Nate), Carl (Laura), Jenny (Mike), Kelly, Tony, Lauren, Luke and her great grandchildren Hudson, Wryler, Livvy, Grant, Julian, Mason, Beckett, Cooper, Amelia and Bryce. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Arnold, brother Edward Johnson, and daughter in law Denise Nolden. A memorial service will be held on Monday May 4 at Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church in Big Lake. A visitation will be at 10 am, service at 11 am, followed by lunch. Elizabeth is deeply missed by her adoring family, friends and neighbors. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to her care center of eight years, Guardian Angels of Elk River Minnesota.
