Elraine A. Brennan
Age 92 of Monticello
Passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at her home in Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary (Coudron) Farasyn; brothers Laurence Farasyn, and Don Farasyn; infant daughter Jaqueline Brennan; and husband Thomas Brennan.
Elraine is survived by her children Kathy Dittmer, Mike (Doris) Brennan, Dan Brennan, John (Fayth) Brennan, Bill Brennan, Cheryl Brennan (Joe), Patrick (Carmen) Brennan, and Jennifer (Mark) Vogeler; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and siblings Virgil (Dolores) Farasyn, Harold Farasyn, and Jeanette Hicks (James Fitzgerald); and many other relatives and friends.
Elraine was a hard worker, having raised 8 children. She was the CEO and boss of the Brennan Family! She created an empire! She worked for various local real estate agents as a Realtor for an astounding 42 years, retiring on June 13, 2017 at the age of 86. The bulk of her career was spent with Edina Realty. Elraine was a prolific investor and took an avid interest in the stock market charts. These may have been important to her, but not as beloved as her family and grandchildren.
You wouldn’t find her home without chocolate chip cookies. Those were a must for the grandchildren! She loved to cook and bake, work on jigsaw puzzles, and win at FreeCell. (She even beat the system!) Elraine was a cherished “Mumsie”, grandma, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed. We rejoice that she is united in heaven with her relatives who have eagerly awaited her arrival.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Friday, July 21, 2023 with visitation 1 hour prior at the Church of Saint Henry, 1001 E. 7th Street, Monticello. Interment to follow at St. Henry’s Catholic Cemetery.
Arr. by Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, Monticello. 763-295-2918. (www.peterson-grimsmochapel.com)
