Passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in Golden Valley, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife Sue. Rick is survived by his daughter Tanya (Matthew) Koneczny; grandchildren Caitlin, and Hayden; siblings Larry (Gail), Randy, Danny (Lucy), Wendy, and Marcy (Delbert); brother-in-law In-Sik; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Rick served in the U.S. Army. He was a long time employee of the Star Tribune, and avid fisherman, and enjoyed being outdoors. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11AM with visitation 1 hour prior at the Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 East Broadway Street, Monticello, MN. 763-259-2918.
