Gabriele Lieselotte Whittaker, 76 died peacefully at her home in Monticello, MN. Gabriele (Gaby) was born March 23, 1947 in the town of Mannheim, Germany. A strong natured, glamourous, and quick witted mother of four. Gaby was the epitome of style and hard work. She loved animals!
Gaby married Larry Roger Whittaker February 2, 1964. Larry often talks about the first time he saw Gaby. Larry a young US Army soldier stationed at Spinelli barracks. He would often spot a beautiful young woman walking a black German Shepherd. Only to have the opportunity to one day meet her out and call Gaby his wife of almost 60 years.
Gaby a German citizen would later master her English skills and become a world class mover. Traveling and relocating to many cities in the US and Germany. She was not only the perfect housewife but managed to hold many positions ranging from sales to teaching German.
Gaby is survived by her husband Larry Whittaker. Her children Jackie & Kenneth Anuszewski, Michelle & Gregory Haug, and Grant & Orin Manuel; her granddaughter Alexandria & Phillip Illing; her grandson Nick Haug; and her four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Nanette Whittaker; and grandson Gregory Jr. (Rory) Haug.
Gaby will be missed, honored and forever celebrated. May she find joy, peace, happiness, and the blessings of her family. Her puppies are waiting for her in Heaven.
