Gary Wayne Hoffman
Nov. 4,1950 – Oct.4,2023
Gary passed from complications of several health issues at CentraCare Nursing Home in Monticello, MN.
He was born and raised in Anoka, MN., where he spent the majority of his life. He later moved to Monticello, MN. Born with Cerebral Palsy, he never let that stop him from living his life with a big kind heart and giving spirit. It was a tough life but he managed to persevere. His love was all about family (and food, he loved to eat!) As he grew older and started a family of his own, he worked hard to make ends meet and was willing to give whatever he could when he could. He was a father to 4 children and raised an additional 3 more! He was greatly loved as a father, grandpa, great grandpa and by all family and friends. He was easy to like and even easier to love. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
His is survived by his wife Mary Hoffman/Wilson, her son James Wilson, her daughters Tina Aufderhar and Amber Konen, His daughters Jean Fields (Rob), Lori Dawson (Chad), Sarah Crandall (Rob), his son Brian Hoffman, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers Mike Hoffman, Daniel Hoffman (Ron) and sister Kim Hoffman (Karen).
A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 260 in Monticello, MN on Oct. 21, from 1:00PM – 4:00 PM
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in honor of Gary to the American Legion Post 260 at 304 Elm St. Monticello, MN 55362 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
