The son of Louis and Anna (Koch) Roden, he was baptized and confirmed in Albertville and graduated in 1957 from Elk River High School. He married Teresa Breun on September 5, 1964. They resided in Monticello and raised five children, Audrey, Charlotte, Annette, Joseph, and David. Greg was a lifelong carpenter and was always tinkering in the garage. He enjoyed the outdoors and whenever the fish were biting, he was out on the water. The family enjoyed many a fish fries from his catches. Greg took great pride in his yard, especially the creek in the backyard. Any time he could spend with the grandchildren whether it be at the creek, fishing, hunting, or watching their sporting events, brought him great joy. Greg also enjoyed a good game of cards and socializing with others.
