Age 97 of Buffalo, MN

Completed his cycle of life on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 after a short illness at North Memorial Hospital in Maple Grove. Harvey was born in Hudson, South Dakota on November 8, 1925 to Oluf and Charlotte (Ende) Brevik. He grew up in South Dakota and was united in marriage to Grace Havelaar on August 24, 1944. They moved to Monticello in 1957 where they raised their family. Harvey farmed until the 1960’s and then went to school in Alexandria for mechanics. He then worked at Long Lake Ford as a mechanic until he retired at the age of 62. After retirement, he continued to help the boys on the farm. Harvey was preceded in death by his son Gregg; wife Grace; siblings Cliff, Doris, Robert, Charlotte, and twins Louis and Lois. Surviving are Harvey’s children Carol (David) Tauscheck of Seattle, WA, Kenneth (Corrine) Brevik of Monticello, MN, and Allan (Mary) Brevik of Monticello, MN and Kathy (Dave) Lahr; grandchildren Annika ZumBrunnen (Mitch Mallott), Sonja Brevik, Tamara (Chris) Langford, Lisa (Kyle) DeMontigny, Jennifer (Mitchell) Snobeck, Kristofer (Heidi) Brevik, Courtney (Kyle) Zierke, Coleton (Marilla) Lahr, Carson Lahr (Bailey Myrin), Clayton Lahr, and Aimee Lahr; and great-grandchildren Jakob, Trevor, Logan, Lathan, Kaedyn, Kiley, Tyler, Avery, Ben, Larken, Odin, Hudson, Marcus, Judah, Wilder, and Jack; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

A memorial service will be held in Harvey's honor on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1PM, with visitation 1 hour prior at the Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 E. Broadway Street, Monticello, MN.
