James Thorpe Obituary

Thorpe, James LeRoy age 84 of Monticello, passed away on Friday August 7, 2020 at CentraCare Health in Monticello. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara; children Kim (Vern) Garberich, Linda (Dan) Elstad, Cindy (Brian) Pemberton all of Monticello; grandchildren Jamie (Michael) Ludwig, Michael (Alison) Garberich, Brent (Brienne) Elstad, Derek Elstad, Alec Pemberton, Preston Pemberton; great grandchildren Caleb Ludwig, Carson Elstad, Jameson Elstad, Jackson Elstad. James was a millworker and later retired as a custodian with the Monticello School District. He loved being with his family, hunting, fishing, new cars, and traveling to Canal Park in Duluth.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions, services will be private for the immediate family.
