James Lowell Nagovsky, 62, embarked on his final voyage to meet his Savior on June 6, 2025. Born in Fridley, Minnesota, on May 21, 1963, and raised in Cambridge, he lived with love as his anchor.
A devoted husband to Beth since 1990, and Dad to Kurt.
Jim served his country honorably in Operation Desert Storm before excelling as a CNC machinist. He faced life's challenges with resilience, finding redemption in faith and embracing a life of grace and purpose.
Jim's compassion was unwavering, caring for his in-laws with deep love and devotion. His greatest joy was being a grandfather to Payton, sharing laughter, wisdom, and his passion for fishing. Known for his sharp wit and steadfast spirit, he found solace in quiet waters and the rhythm of the waves.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Beth; his son, Kurtis and daughter-in-law, Natalie; and his granddaughter, Payton; along with extended family and cherished nieces and nephews. He reunites beyond the veil with his parent in-laws; parents; and sister.
A proud Navy veteran and steadfast patriot, Jim’s legacy sails onward—carried by love, faith, and the whispered embrace of the wind.
Services will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on June 23, 2025, at 1:30 PM. Please arrive by 1:15 PM and gather in assembly area 4.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel of Monticello, MN. 763-295-2918.
