Janice "Jan" Kay Philipp

Janice “Jan” Kay ( Arndt ) Philipp 

of Monticello, MN & formerly Brooklyn Park and Weslaco, TX passed away on the 1st of January, at the age of 77, after a fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. Jan graduated in 1963 from Granada-Huntley High School. She worked many years at Brooklyn Park Medical Clinic and Fridley Plaza Clinic until she retired in 2001. She enjoyed over 15 years of retirement at Rio Valley Estates in Weslaco, TX and enjoyed traveling with friends to Mexico. She loved knitting and making beautiful cross-stitch pictures for others. In recent years, she enjoyed trail-riding and wintering in Arizona.  

She is survived by daughters, Kelly (Paul) Crum of Peachtree Corners, GA; Kari (Jon) Kortge of Scottville, MI; grandsons, Wyatt, Sawyer, and Parker Crum, Tyler and Zach Kortge; companion, Larry Quigley; brothers, Mick (Marlene) Arndt, Dale (Phyllis) Arndt; sisters-in-law, Marge Arndt, Diane (John) Evans, Gaylene (Peter) Gunberg; brothers-in-law, Eugene (Donna) Philipp and Denny Philipp; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Gary; parents, Clarence and Blanche Arndt; in-laws, Lester and Ruth Philipp; sister, Marlene Isenberg; brothers, Gary and Weldon Arndt; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Arndt, Vivian Arndt, and Della Philipp. 

The family will be holding a private ceremony in the Spring. 

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to CentraCare Hospice of St. Cloud and Willows Landing for the care they provided Jan.
