Jim H. Cox

Passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026 at Cherrywood Advanced Living in Big Lake. He was preceded in death by parents Glenn and Kitty (Bowman) Cox; wife Donna (Hansen) Cox; brother Wesley Cox; sons-in-law Michael Davis, and Randy Frost; and daughter-in-law Julie Cox. Jim is survived by his children Diana Frost, Duane Cox, June (Marty) Immerman, Joan Davis, and Bryan “Tony” (Amy) Cox; grandchildren Crystal Dodds, Mandy Nelson, Danny Frost, Jesse Frost, Curt Immerman, Nicole Davis, Cassandra Davis, Katrina Frost, Cory Immerman, Mathew Davis, Taylor Schafbuch, Cassidy Schafbuch, Devynn Cox, Jadeyn Schafbuch; 27 great-grandchildren, with another on the way; and other relatives and friends.

Jim wouldn’t be seen behind anything but a Farmall Tractor. He also loved his Cub Cadet mowers. This was important, because Jim really liked cutting his grass. He played card games like Solitaire and Penny Ante Poker. The family knew right where he was headed when he had his baggie filled with coins.

A Celebration of Life service for Jim will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 1PM with visitation 2 hour prior to service at Faith Lutheran Church, 11755 Sherburne Ave, Becker, MN. Interment in Becker Cemetery immediately following the service. A luncheon will be served after the interment at church.

Jim had a special bond with his daughter-in-law, Amy. She cared for Jim for many years and when asked, Jim referred to her as “His Person”. Jim lived for many additional years thanks to the loving and devoted care Amy gave to Jim.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cherrywood Advanced Living and St. Croix Hospice for the extraordinary care and kindness they showed to Jim and our family. It was greatly appreciated and will always be remembered.
