Age 82 of Becker
Passed away August 26, 2024. Preceded in death by parents Dorothy and Alf Wicklem; wife of 51 years, Sharon Hazeltine; and brother Tom Hazeltine. Surviving are his son Dennis Hazeltine; daughter Lea (Charles) Lumley; and grandchildren Zachary Lumley, and Joshua Lumley. Jim grew up in Cross Creek, Pennsylvania. After graduation served our country in the United States Marine Corps from July 11, 1960 – July 10, 1964. A few years after his discharge from the Marines, he married Sharon (King) Hazeltine. They were lifelong Becker residents and Jim was a proud member of the Becker Lions Club for 47 years. He was also an avid fisherman.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6PM on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 E. Broadway Street, Monticello, MN. Interment later at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s name to the Becker Lions Club, PO Box 73, Becker MN, 55308.
