Joann Joy (Jamnik) Hoerchler

It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Joann Hoerchler, age 69 of Big Lake, loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She passed away suddenly on April 8, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marian (Vales) Jamnik.

Joann is survived by her husband of 47+ years, Mark; children, Jaclyn (Todd) Eccless and Joseph (Angelica) Hoerchler; grandchildren, Austin and Alex Eccless (twins), and Maya Hoerchler; twin brother, Joel (Faith) Jamnik; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Joann dedicated herself to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing games and puzzles and decorating. She also had a deep love of her cats, including her two Star Wars kitties, Luke and Leia. Joann graduated from Eden Valley High School and owned her own beauty salon in Paynesville and Monticello, MN.

Private Family Interment.

A Celebration of Joann’s life will be from Noon – 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Lupulin Brewing Company, 570 Humboldt Dr, Big Lake.
