Joseph Dale Knase

Joseph Dale Knase, 28, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020. He was born May 25, 1992 in Buffalo, MN to Steven and Marcia (Barthel) Knase.

Joey marched to the beat of his own drum, some would say he ran more than marched. He had a love of hunting and fishing from an early age. His inner child always shone through with his attempts at comedy and love of gaming. He wore his heart on his sleeve, a romantic at heart and was willing to help anyone that needed it. He cherished his niece and nephew. Joey had many deep connections and relationships with people from all over.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Melvin Barthel and Dale Vetsch, and cousin Tyson Kinney.

Joey is survived by his parents Steve and Marcia, Sisters Cassie (Jason) Dodds and Angie Knase. Nephew Graham and niece Finley Dodds. Maternal grandmother Betty Vetsch and paternal grandparents Roger and Shirley Knase. Aunts and uncles Susan (Steven) Eklin, Elizabeth (Brad) Kaplan, Tony (Val) Barthel, Lynn (Scott) Black, Melissa (Todd) Elfstrom, Jessica Kinney (John Cumpian). Cousins Patrick (Betsy), Alex and Katie Eklin; Erin and Mitchell Kaplan; Steven, Mitchel and Emily Barthel; Cody, Erin and Brandon Black; Hannah, Keegan and Brecken Elfstrom; Owen and Maya Kinney.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020, from 11am-1pm and a private service to follow at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, 250 E Broadway, Monticello. There will be a celebration of life for all following the service at the Vetsch Family Farm, 9400 65th St. NE, Albertville.

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
