Joseph “Joe” O’Connor
Age 92 of Monticello
Passed away peacefully on 2/2/2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald & Irene (Murphy) O’Connor; and siblings Rick O’Connor, Marilyn Lindenfelser, and Donald O’Connor, Jr.; Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years Clarice (Hoglund) O’Connor; children Debbie (Jim) Otten, Judy (John) Fuller, Mike (Sharon) O’Connor, Wendy Sierra, Patti (Dale) Lusti, and Amy (Tom) Mielke; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Joe was a hardworking husband and father, working as a truckdriver, business owner and car salesman. His handle on the CB Radio was “Archie Bunker”. He enjoyed his work and considered it one of his hobbies. He had a variety of interests including riding his motorcycle, playing cards, Polka dancing, listening to old time music, and farming. He loved entertaining the grandkids and spending time with his friends. He also wintered in Florida with Clarice for 34 years.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 with visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at CHURCH OF ST. HENRY, 1001 E. 7th Street, Monticello.
