Judith Mae Reynolds, 74, of Clearwater, died Monday July 29th, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She died from cancer, which she had been struggling with for at least two years.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Reynolds, children Shelly Zierdt (Jeff), James Reynolds (Vonda), and Kristine Reynolds, grandchildren Aaron Zierdt, Brett Reynolds (Kate), Abby Wolf (Hunter), Jonathan Coffin, Brianna Reynolds and Lauren Coffin, 3 great grandchildren and a fourth on the way, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brothers; Stanley Dahlquist, Donald Dahlquist, and Glen Dahlquist (Emily), and her sister Joan Willy (Jerry).
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Ann, her parents, a sister, June Harkness (Ward) and brother, John Dahlquist.
She was born September 20th, 1944 in Saint Paul to Gunnar and Mae Dahlquist. She was a proud, confident city girl. She liked to reminisce about walking University Ave, using the bus at a young age and graduating from St. Paul Central in 1962.
She was very close to her maternal grandmother and actually shared a room with her for a while. She later shared a room with her older sister June, whom she was also very close to. She felt great love for all her siblings.
She met Wayne July 4th, 1962 when he tried to sell her a set of cookware. It was love at first sight and after a short courtship they married October 6th, 1962. They went on to have 4 children and were also blessed with six grandchildren.
Judy and Wayne liked to travel and play cards, especially Bridge, with friends and family. They also bowled in several bowling leagues over the years. Judy had many interests of her own such as, reading, doing crossword puzzles, many arts and craft, including making pottery. She also continued her education taking acting and singing lessons as well as several college classes. When Judy wasn’t working one of the several jobs, she enjoyed volunteering. Her favorites were probably working at Northwest Airlines and Abbott Northwest Hospital and volunteering at Park House.
She spent almost all of her last month being visited by family and friends, feeling happy and mostly pain free.
Memorial service will be at 11AM on Wed, Aug 7, 2019 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 9300 Jason Ave, Monticello, with visitation starting at 10AM.
