LeRoy Norman Tingelstad, age 72 of rural Big Lake, passed away on Dec. 3, 2021 due to complications of a massive stroke in 2013.
Lee was born on February 10, 1949 in Rolla, ND to Norman and Lorraine Tingelstad. Most of his youth was spent in St. John, ND and he graduated from high school in Adrian, MN. Lee then served four years in the Navy, where he also received an education in electronics. He worked in various electronic jobs until his retirement in 2012.
Lee was married to Jacqueline Greene (Faye) in 1983. Together they enjoyed many outdoor activities including RV camping and fishing in Northern Minnesota. Lee also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and an occasional trip to the casino.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Lorraine Tingelstad; sisters Janice Brandt, and Eileen Lentz; parents-in-law Myron and Arlene Greene; and sister-in-law Evangeline Tingelstad.
He is survived by step-children Brenda (Brian) Morgan, and Nikki Yanke; grandchildren Brandon, Brooke, Mckensie, and Samuel; and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Norene (Vernon) Knudson, Ron (Ela) Tingelstad, Merle (Kathy) Tingelstad, Dale (Kay) Tingelstad, and Duane (Jennifer) Tingelstad; brothers-in-law Theodore Lentz, and Willard Brandt; and many nieces and nephews.
Lee will be interred at Riverside Cemetery in Monticello at a private ceremony at a later date.
