LeRoy Sanford Nyhlen Jr passed on April 18, 2023 just 2 days after his 59th birthday. He will be missed by so many.
LeRoy was a fun loving, generous person who never met a stranger. He grew up on the south side of Minneapolis going to school at Howe, Sanford and Roosevelt. He worked at various places in his younger days, settling with a position as a guard for Hennepin County. He absolutely loved his job. He eventually took a medical retirement. His middle years consisted of living in Mpls and Big Lake. He was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Knowing of his strong faith in Jesus, he is at home with the Lord.
He is preceded in death by parents, LeRoy and Rondel Nyhlen; and brother, Ricki Nyhlen.
Survived by son, Andrew Nyhlen (Jenna); daughter, Alyssa Nyhlen; grandchildren, Arianiah and Mason; sister, Julie Balcome (Timothy); many nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 9300 Jason Ave NE, Monticello, MN.
