Lloyd "Skip" Peter Rothstein

Loving husband, father, brother and friend to many, Lloyd “Skip” Peter Rothstein, age 68 of Monticello, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Our Lady of Peace Hospice on Friday, January 19, 2024. He was born April 11, 1955 in St. Cloud.

Skip graduated from Osseo High School with the class of 1973. He was very proud of the fact that he worked with his sons, Zach and Adam.

On September 27, 1997, Skip married his best friend, Pati Trulson.

Skip was a friend to everyone he met, he was the most selfless and giving person. He always thought of others, either by paying it forward or shopping and picking out gifts for others. He enjoyed woodworking, drawing, his dogs and he especially enjoyed his time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lyla (Orren) Rothstein; sisters, Laurel Benn, Cindy Schwegler; siblings-in-law, Gary Loomis, Debi Patterson, Karin Trulson; and beloved dog, CJ.

Skip is survived by his loving wife, Pati Rothstein; children, Kevin (Ann) Rothstein, Lynnette (Tristan) Muhich, David (Megan) Rothstein, Zachary (Megan) Rothstein, Adam (fiancée, Brianna) Rothstein; grandchildren, Lexi, Josh, Keira, Adrian, Ezra, Bentley; siblings, Lolly Loomis, Lavon (Mike) Schreiner, Larry (Joan) Rothstein, Bob (Rhonda) Rothstein; siblings-in-law, Ben Benn, Lynda (Mark) Domino; and many nieces, nephews, other family and numerous friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 East Broadway Street, Monticello, MN.
