Michael Wayne Froslie was born on October 10th, 1947 to Gordon and Alda (Rislove) Froslie. Mike passed away on January 6th, 2023 at the age of 75.
Mike loved growing up in a fun, large relation, and getting together with all of them was important to him.
Mike graduated from Watertown High School in South Dakota, where he enjoyed being on the track team. However, his favorite times were playing on his "all cousin" baseball team and of course, hunting! After high school, he attended the Lutheran Bible Institute and met the "Love of his Life", Kathleen Hjelmeland and married on March 18, 1967. They enjoyed 54 years together.
Mike served his country for 3 years in the Marine Corps. He received an arm injury from flying shrapnel during his year in the Vietnam War. Exposure to agent orange caused him health issues in his later years.
Mike graduated from St. Cloud State University and spent most of his working years in law enforcement, which gave him the opportunity to save many people's lives!
Mike loved his three children and spent a lot of his free time playing with them; swimming, softball or whatever! For holidays, as a special treat for them, he would leave bags of candy outside their bedroom doors.
Mike enjoyed being music leader at Scofield Bible Fellowship Church and spent extra time putting Bible verses to music with his guitar. He also cherished the friendship of the believers that attended there, especially that of Pastor Mike Maki.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Froslie.
Mike is survived by his wife Kathleen; his daughter Michelle (Dusty) Ewing and grandson David Ewing; his son Gordon Michael Froslie and granddaughters Madison and Miranda Froslie; and his daughter Bethany Kathleen Froslie.
Thank you, Lord and Father, for the gift of his life to us. He will be missed!
