Age 98, of Monticello, MN, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on October 21, 2022.
Mildred was one of 15 children born to Alexander and Elizabeth (Thompson) Jehoich. At the age of 12, her father asked her to promise she would help care for her younger siblings and her mother after he passed. This began a lifelong journey for Mildred, as she willingly cared for and raised not only her own 8 children but stepsons and other relatives as well.
Mildred was married to Clifford Angell for 43 years. Together they worked farmland in Becker, MN along the Mississippi River. Mildred always had an extremely strong work ethic; she tended to the gardens and farm animals, in addition to providing all the meals and household duties for her growing family. She taught her children by example.
The love for her family was most important to her. Mildred enjoyed teaching many of her granddaughters how to quilt and sew. She was happiest when she could play games and spend time in conversation with family and friends. She had a heart of gold, and a kindness that extended to all she knew.
Mildred was a believer in Jesus Christ and we rejoice knowing that she is now with our Heavenly Father.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy; husband, Clifford; and stepsons, Dale, Jim and Carl.
Mildred is survived by her sister, Beverly; sister-in-law, Myrt Jehoich; sons, Gary (Laura), Ernest, Terry (Joyce), Arnie (Peggy); daughters, Darlene Weese, Donna (Marlin) Frank, Laura Angell; son, Jack Cihlar; stepson, George Angell; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1970 Edmonson Avenue NE, Buffalo, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM.
