Age 84 of St. Cloud

Nancy passed away at Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo, MN on March 15, 2023. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ardeen (Divine) Lowe; husband of 60 years, Ralph Gundersen; and son-in-law Kevin Tracy. Surviving her are her son, Mark (Kathy) Gundersen; daughter Lee Tracy; grandchildren Jim Tracy, Michael Tracy, Kim Behrends, Ken (Tabitha) Odegaard, and Kyl (Christina) Odegaard; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings Janet (Earl Cowin) Meyer, and Ellen Peterson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Nancy grew up in Fairmont, MN and after graduation, attended Hamline University. While attending college, she had the good fortune of meeting her future husband, Ralph. After they were married, they lived most of their 60 years together in St. Cloud. Education was paramount to Nancy. She earned her master’s degree at St. Cloud State University, where she taught English Composition for many years. Nancy was involved in the League of Women Voters, the Tri-County Humane Society and the Boys and Girls Club. She helped write the history of her church, First United Methodist Church.  She loved the outdoors, and animals of all kinds. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, March 31st with visitation at 10:00 at the First United Methodist Church, 1107 Pine Cone Road South, Sartell, MN. Interment to take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont, MN at a later date. Memorials may be made in Nancy’s name to the Tri-County Humane Society, Moments Hospice, or Lake Ridge Care Center Hospice -Buffalo.
