Nancy Jane (Cody) Miller

Nancy Jane Miller, age 86 of Andover, formerly of Big Lake and Monticello, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023. She was born April 16, 1937 in Minneapolis, the daughter of the late Chester and Grace (Matteson) Cody.

Nancy graduated in 1955 from Minnetonka High School. She worked 30+ years as a Kitchen Supervisor at the Monticello Nursing Home.

On February 8, 1957 Nancy Cody and Robert Miller were united in marriage at Excelsior Covenant Church in Excelsior, MN. The two were blessed with five children: Pam, Ruth, Steve, Rayna and Cindy.

Nancy was exceptional at sewing, even being recognized by McCalls Patterns. She enjoyed cooking, camping and especially loved taking care of her family.

Her quiet and reserved, loving, personality will be dearly missed by all!

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years in 2018, Robert Miller; sister, Marion Zagaros; and brother, Frank Cody.

Nancy is survived by her children, Pam (Jim) Schmitt, Ruth (Dan) Zahler, Steve Miller, Rayna (Paul) Fridgen, Cindy Liebman; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Fern Zdrazil, Virginia Cody; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 East Broadway Street, Monticello, MN. Burial following at Riverside Cemetery in Monticello, MN.
