Norman Larry Olson

Norman Larry Olson, age 80 of Becker, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was born in Monticello on April 4, 1945, the son of Ervin and Eunice (Johnson) Olson.

Norm graduated from Becker High School in 1964. He continued his education at Dunwoody College, taking up carpentry. He was a talented and skilled carpenter and proud of the work he accomplished. In Norm’s career, he built 300 houses, the last 100 he had built by himself.

Norman married Sherry Knutson and later divorced. Norman later married Gwen Wood and they were blessed with four children: Melissa, Bryan, Kristina and Ariana who passed away at birth.

Norm’s goofy personality and lifetime of jokes will be missed by all. He enjoyed bible studies, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Ariana; mother, Eunice; father, Ervin; brother, Gordon; and brother-in-law, Alan Myers.

Norm is survived by his children, Melissa Olson, Bryan Olson, Kristina (Clint) Pierson; grandchildren, Romeo, Riley, Madelyn, Adrianna, Sophia, Eva, Ivy; sister, Sharon; and many other family and friends.

Burial will be held Friday, December 19, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Snake River Cemetery in Becker, MN. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at Becker Baptist Church, 11951 Hancock Street, Becker, MN.
