Age 77, of Monticello. Passed away on December 24, 2021 at his home.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; mother, Eileen; in-laws, Donald and Lorraine Dingler.
Ralph lived his passion of teaching for over 50 years for the Monticello School District. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, cooking, and adding to his collection of Red Wing Pottery. He was thrilled to have 4 granddaughters and was always happy to spoil them.
Ralph grew up without siblings however he had a group of “family” of friends including the poker group, the Gaarders, the Lindbergs, the Hermans, Dirk and many others who meant the world to him.
The Love of Ralph’s life was his wife, Kathy. Together they were married 47 years and Ralph missed her every day since she passed away. We find peace knowing that dad and mom are cruising in the street rod and sitting on the beaches of Sanibel.
Ralph is survived by his children, Kim (Darin) Nygaard and Erik (Dana) Olsen; 4 beloved granddaughters, Haley & Lindsay Olsen and Lisa & Lea Nygaard.
A Celebration of Ralph’s life will be from 4:00-7:00PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, 250 E Broadway, Monticello, with Remembrances shared at 6:30PM.
