Randal (Randy) Walter Turner was born on June 27,1960, in Mason, Michigan, to Robert Maxwell Turner and Kathryn Emma (Walter) Turner. Randy passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, at Our Lady of Peace in St. Paul, Minnesota, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Robert Turner (January 2012); his mother Kathryn Turner (October 2024); his aunt Arlene; his uncle Leo; Eugene and Joyce Fyle; and his beloved grandchildren, Vincent Hasslen and Emerson Moengen.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jill (Fyle) Turner; his siblings Cheryl (Glenn) Redman, Robin Turner, Christine Ramel, Carol (Cameron) Jones, and Ryan (Debbie) Turner; and his children Jennifer (Alex) Bolin, Jason (Joni) Turner, Morgan (Nathan) Wallestad, Heather (Jeff) Moengen, Stephanie (Dan) Ferrante, and Chelsea Hasslen. Randy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and a great-grand child who brought great joy to his life.
Randy spent much of his life trucking and driving semi-trucks, a career he truly enjoyed. He loved fishing on Eagle Lake, cherished his passion for old cars and hot rods, and was an exceptional handyman. Randy was incredibly skilled in construction and poured countless hours, sweat, and tears into renovating the family home on Eagle Lake – a place filled with memories and love.
Holidays were never complete without Randy at the head of the kitchen, where he proudly took charge of cooking the hams and turkeys year after year. His laugh – rapid-fire and contagious-filled rooms and lives alike, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Randy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his hard work, generosity, humor, and the love he shared with his family.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 9, 2026.
