Richard “Rick” Byron Dorion  

Age 73 of Rockford  

Passed away peacefully at home with his loving family beside him on Friday, May 26, 2023. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Byron and Mavis (L’Esperance) Dorion; and sisters Karen, and Merryl. Rick is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marlene (Beaudoin) Dorion. (They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in August); children Travis (Kelly), and Justin (Elise); grandchildren Kiley, Makenna, Rian, Avery, Logan, Reese, and Drew; siblings Ellen, Teresa (Ed), Denis (Shelly), and Mavis (Rick); brothers-in-law Ed, and Don; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Rick enjoyed antiquing, camping with family and friends, but especially loved spending time with his grandkids. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 3-5PM with prayer service at 5PM at the Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 Broadway Street East, Monticello, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Monticello Cancer Center in memory of Rick. There will be a gathering at the Monticello Country Club, 1209 Golf Course Road, Monticello, MN, following the prayer service. All are welcome.
