Robert W. (Bob) Steinhaus, age 80, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo, Minnesota.
Bob was born December 25, 1941 in Morton, Minnesota to Wilbert and Sophie (Reetz) Steinhaus.
Bob was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1964. He received several honorable medals.
Bob was a member of the America Legion Post 13 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He and his wife enjoyed many fun activities at the Legion.
Bob was an easygoing, uncomplicated sort of guy. He loved life, his family and friends. His passions were traveling, campfires, quilting (17 quilts) and dancing with his wife. Bob and Lorie traveled and lived full time in their “Little House” for 22 plus years, spending the majority of their time on Lake Ouachita in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Wilbert & Sophie Steinhaus; and sisters Lola Schmidt, and Dorothy Stuve.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Loreene (Lorie) Steinhaus; brother Jim Steinhaus; stepchildren Joe (Barb) Villareal, Kathryn (Mike) Wiltsey, and Dean Villareal; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and many other family members and friends. Special recognition to his lifelong friends of 70 plus years, Dale and Paula Conrad.
