In Loving Memory of Sally Marie McNamara-Hills

November 24, 1962 – November 22, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sally, a truly remarkable woman who brightened the lives of everyone she met. Sally was born on November 24, 1962 to Raphael (Ray) and Marcella McNamara in Hastings, MN.  Known for her loving heart, generous spirit, and sassy charm, she was a force of nature who left an indelible mark on the world around her.

In passing, Sally will be reunited with her parents, Marcella and Ray and her brothers, Calvin, Jack and Ray Jr.

Sally lived a life full of love and purpose. Her generosity knew no bounds, whether it was through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, or simply being there for those in need. Her wit and spirited personality brought joy and laughter to every room she entered, reminding us all of the beauty of embracing life fully.

Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her love for her family was unwavering. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and compassion that will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

She found joy in gardening, her pets, and spending time with her grandchildren and nieces/nephews, who were the light of her life. Her career with the United States Post Office brought joy as she had a great love for her customers.

Sally is survived by her children, Brandi (Patrick) Bailey, Elijah (Amber) Behrends and Shane (Kayla) McNamara; her grandchildren, Kieran Bailey; Blazen, Faith, Grace and McKenzie Behrends; Arabella and Everly McNamara; her siblings, Arnold (Kathy) McNamara, Marsha (Jerry) Wageman, Beth (Jeff) Pavlicek and Keith (Devan) McNamara; along with nieces/nephews, and beloved friends who cherished her deeply.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM, at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel in Monticello, MN. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Rosemount, MN.

In lieu of sending flowers, the family asks that you plant a flower so that you can remember her every time it blooms.

Her love, generosity, and spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
