Sharon Martin Obituary

Sharon Martin, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026 at the Palms in Sun City, Arizona, where she resided.

Sharon was born on October 6, 1939 in Chippewa Falls, WI. Sharon lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and love for her family and friends. She was married to Pete Martin and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and travel. Sharon was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured time spent with family. She enjoyed golfing and travel and of course there were visits to some casinos on the way. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her.

Sharon is survived by her children Todd (Jackie), Mark (Cheryl), and Stefani (Lloyd); grandchildren EJ, Eric, Nichole, Brandon, Kirstan, Kasey and Madison; seven great-grandchildren; her sisters Jacqueline (Gerald), and Monica (Bruce); her brother Jim (Kristi); and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband Pete Martin; parents Benjamin and Lucille (Allen) Horne; and great-grandchild, Amelia Trauba.

A Catholic Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 18, 2026 with visitation 1 hour prior at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 Broadway Street East, Monticello, MN. A luncheon will follow at the funeral chapel.

A private burial will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Pete where they shall rest in peace.

Sharon's legacy of love, kindness and devotion will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
