Susan (Susy) Lynn Aaseby

Susy Lynn Aaseby died on September 21, 2024, with her children by her side.

Susy Lynn Nelson was born in Monticello, Minnesota on January 18th, 1959. She grew up in Becker, Minnesota, where she met her high school sweetheart, Mitch Aaseby. Mitch and Susy were married on March 13, 1978. Together, they built many homes in Becker with Mitch’s construction background and Susy’s love for home design and fabulous flowers in their yards. Susy worked at Hoya for 45 years. Susy loved being out in the sun, creating beautiful flower beds in her yard, attending concerts and traveling with family, and, most importantly, spending time with her family at school events, grandchildren’s sporting events, or sleepovers at Grandma’s house.

She is survived by her children, Jesse; Katie and Greg; and grandchildren, Jayden, Taylor (TJ), Greg, and Axel. Siblings: Darlene (Pete) Blomquist, Nancy Jacobsen, Barbara Rietman, Jack (Kathy) Nelson, and Richard Nelson. 

A funeral service will be on held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 Broadway Street E. Monticello, MN 55362 with Pastor Steve Johnston officiating.
