Yvonne Elizabeth (LeClaire) Harper

Yvonne Elizabeth Harper, 91, of Monticello passed away on July 6, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

  She was born in Saint Paul on June 7, 1932 and grew up in Chippewa Falls, WI. She was united in marriage to her husband Jerry on April 19, 1949. Yvonne is survived by her children Jerry Jr. (Cathy), Gail Matson (Rudy), Debby (Loren) Monson, Juanita Harper, Michael (Liz), Kelly (Rob) Carter, Casey (Corrine); 11 grandchildren; and 14 great- grandchildren. Preceding Yvonne in death are husband Jerry; children Steven, Timothy, Patricia; and grandson Sean.

  Yvonne retired from Tennant Company in Minneapolis and moved to their 60 acre farm in Flensburg. She loved her 4 footed horse friends and first began riding them at 50 years old and continued her love of horseback riding well into her 80’s.  Her other pastimes that brought her joy were reading, quilting, knitting and embroidery work.

   A memorial service will be held at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 E. Broadway Street, Monticello, MN on Monday, July 17th, 2023 at 11:30AM with visitation 1 hour prior to service.
