Manager - Funeral Director
Tom Thedens graduated from Blaine High School in 1979, he attended Anoka-Ramsey Community College earning an Associate of Arts Degree. Then transferring to Moorhead State where he earned a Business Administration Degree in 1983. In 1985, Tom completed his degree in Mortuary Science from the University of Minnesota.
He lives just outside of Elk River with his wife, Kathy and his three daughters, Amanda, Sarah and Emily. Tom is a member of Central Lutheran Church in Elk River and enjoys hunting, fishing and horseback riding.
Brady is a licensed funeral director who joined the staff in 2017. She was born and raised in Brooklyn Park and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Mortuary Science in 2011. Brady and her husband Andrew were married in 2013 and settled in Champlin shortly after. In her free time you can find Brady up north spending time with family on Lake Vermilion, enjoying music, or out with her two dogs, Charlie and Murphy.
Robbie was born and grew up in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a BBA in Marketing in 1985 and then from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Mortuary Science in 1987. Robbie has worked in funeral service most of his life, and has been with Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel for many years.
Very active in the community, Robbie has served in local government, including on the Monticello City Council and the Monticello School Board, serving as board chair from 2013-2016. Robbie’s wife Karen was a FACS teacher at the Monticello Middle School for 33 years . Robbie and Karen attend Community United Methodist Church of Monticello, and they have two daughters.
Jackie Novisky has been with Roseville Memorial Chapel since April 2005. She has a degree in Marketing from the University of Minnesota – Metropolitan and is a Certified Pre-Planning Consultant through the National Funeral Directors Association.
Susan grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota and graduated from Central High School in 2003. She and her family have called Minnesota home for the past five years.
She graduated from Anoka-Ramsey Community College in 2017 with an Associates of Psychology Degree. Susan has worked in the funeral care industry in different capacities in South Dakota and Minnesota, since 2003. She plans to pursue a degree in Mortuary Science in the near future.
Susan resides in Monticello with her husband, Casey son Gabe, dog Clara, and cat Missy. Together they enjoy time outdoors riding bikes, geocaching, hiking or swimming, and also pride in their Lego collection.
Following a life-long career in retail management, Bob joined the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel team and has served in this role for over twenty years. He and his wife Lynn make their home in rural Big Lake and have three adult children and several grandchildren.
Casey grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota and graduated from Central High School in 2000. He and his family have called Minnesota home for the past five years.
He is currently working towards a degree in Computer Science with a focus on security.
Casey resides in Monticello with his wife Susan, son Gabe, dog Clara, and cat Missy. He enjoys building large Lego sets with his family, playing computer games, and reading.
Ron Carlson was born and raised in Monticello. He graduated from Monticello High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965-1970. From 1970 to 1984, Ron owned and operated Men’s Apparel store’s in Elk River and Monticello.
Ron has been married to Beverly since 1977. Together they have two daughters, Kristin and Andrea, as well as eight grandchildren.
Ron’s services at Peterson-Grimsmo have been appreciated since 2010 when he began working for his brother, Roger Carlson. He is excited continue on working for John and Michael O'Halloran and continue caring for our families.
